Kontakt 5 free or low cost instruments ?

Just hooked my CZ 101 up as my midi controller and getting into Kontakt

but I do not think I gained the full version when I bought my Komplete Audio 6 bundle.

I have the player and Reactor but I am looking to load up Kontakt with more instruments

Anyone have any preferred instruments ?

Links to low cost or free instruments ?

Sounds like your Komplete Audio 6 wasn't registered properly. I don't know much about it but you should contact their support or look up their forums to see if people have similar problems to yours.

If you have Reaktor player then there are loads of free patches out there on their library site that you can toy around with.

I emailed Native Instruments support

It is posible that I did not install the full library disk on my Macbook

This is my second install of the software

My first install is on my G5

The only instruments I have in Kontakt now are Abby Road drums

and an Keyboard one just basic ones

I do have Reactor player share links to free stuff if you know any

The stuff you get with the sound card is only the player stuff I think, not the full version of anything.

Ironically it's usually the more expensive libraries that are compatible with the free Kontakt Player (e.g. Soniccouture's releases). Don't know if there's licensing costs that are the reason for that but I notice that Kontakt Player instruments are usually ~£100 whereas Kontakt instruments are from free upwards

I mean I can play the instruments with a controller

I do have Kontakt Player and not the full version of Kontakt

I want to upgrade to the full version but I do not want to get the latest one

I want the older version

Because I am still on OSX 10.6.8 and do not want to upgrade

Is it possible to get the old update for cheaper than 400$ ?

Possibly check KVR for people selling their licenses or put a request in yourself ( http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=43 )

Called Native Instruments yesterday to try and see if I could get them to send me an old copy laying around for half price

It seems I missed that boat. If only I had chose to get into Kontakt a few months earlier but maybe I could buy a copy on KVR

What about making your own instruments in Kontakt ? Like from samples

I'm pretty sure you do. The player module is only for use with NI sound packs/sampled instruments, afaik.

why not get the older programs of the whole NI package
