Hadn't heard the "crossbow operator" definition before - I thought he saw the word in Jame's Joyce's novel "Ulysses" :

" And says the one: I seen you up Faithful place with your squarepusher, the greaser off the railway, in his cometobed hat."

Amazing, I've been researching and writing about Rem Koolhaas at College, truly mindblowing finding a 20 minute Interview with him sitting next to Squarepusher. Thanks so much for the link! :)

I've heard both versions stated before.

This feels like a few awkward job interviews I've had.

Ha, i still feel in doubt if this is the true story about the name (i find the Joyce convincing as well)
