Side note : is it easier to buy cheap second-hand in nordic countries? Lots of obscure electronic musicians from that area have loads of gear and it seems they just work normal jobs that would make all that gear take a long time to buy. Not hating at all, just wondering if anyone has a clue?

Compared to the US they are. Holy mullaly, my mum told me what they get for supply teaching over there and it's less than one seventh of what teachers get here. No longer a first world country imO.

vintage stuff has to be imported from the US/UK/JP most of the time, so it's not cheaper here than if you live in a country where the stuff is already available with cheap/free shipping and no customs fees involved.

Maybe lack of daylight in winter months giving time to stay in and obsess about / make superb electronic music
