quadraverb midi question

I have a quadraverb plus. (alesis) I am able to get program changes working from external midi in but not any modulation going. Is there anybody in here that is good with one of these? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Have you set up a parameter to receive modulation (depth, polarity) from a MIDI control (velocity/ccs)? It's just a matter of skipping through the modulations menu and choosing the desired values, innit?

yeah i started to get it to work before going to bed with a midi out unit from reason. I will have to spend some more time with it for sure.
