Paul Jebanasam - Continuum

UK-based Sri Lankan ambient and experimental producer Paul Jebanasam has a new album due out in February.
"The record’s three extended pieces shift between terrifying harshness and a serene beauty with a patient natural flow. The opening particle shower balances with the middle track’s crackling embers, but it’s the final piece where the line between those two blurs completely. Solid album, reminded me a bit of the TCF YYAA tape, doesn't hit as hard as the Roly Porter album which is a standout so far this year, it has more of a soundscape vibe on my few listens so far. I've seen it referred to as 'Power Ambient'. Is power ambient a thing? If so I'm liking it!

Power Ambient sounds pretty accurate, yeah the new Roly Porter and Tim Hecker are incredible strong !

love the preview video, but the stream of the album sounded muddled on my laptop, so holding off a while ...

Music for the Church of St John the Baptist was my introduction to him. This is really great too. Tracks two and three being my favorites.
