New Shobaleader album imminent?

Squarepusher is touring with Shobaleader. At least there's a date in Berlin on May 7th.

Any knowledge out there if this also means a new Shobaleader album?

The one gig they did covered squarepusher classics - i hope its an extended set!

I think the first album was one of Tom's best efforts in recent times but the mixing and some of the sound aesthetics left much to be desirable. A second album to me would be most welcomed as long as the sound is not too brutal to the ears.

yeah, I think it was one of the best things he's ever done. I was really hoping that he'd keep going in that direction, writing cool proggy electro-pop songs. Hopefully he comes back to that style sometime!

Hmm, that 909 sound in Maximum Planck...

Some gems on that album nonetheless : Into The Blue and Cryptic Motion easily stand amongst my favorite pusher tracks.

Oh and that album gave us this ULTIMATE JAZZ COVER :
