i'm kinda confused. Do you mean those are normal high hats that are so compressed they feedback harmonics and stuff?

no they're like flanged to fuck but digitally

 

this is a much better example, I put the compressor first in the signal path. I swear it degrades perfectly into pink noise when saturated

From your description (manipulation of bezier curves) and the type of saturation I can hear from the demos it sounds very much like a waveshaper -

there's saturation on the tracks too, but the actual compressor is different. There are compressors that use curves like a waveshaper

in that case though it's the /target/ volume, not an immediate volume change

 

the idea is it makes the track not sound like total crap when you /do/ saturate it
