"glacial, fathomless slices of ambience whose themes include decay and the nature of time"

Assuming (hoping) this gets a release soon. I was disappointed with 'Cascade'.

Fortunately, the Chartier collaboration last year was a lot better.

i really like Divertissement (with Richard Chartier)

yeah, it's excellent. More like the kind of stuff I like from Basinski.

I heard it live and that was fantastic. Dabid Robert Jones would be proud.

Dabid ouch... i meant David Robert Jones (not proud of myself indeed for that mistake), anyway, this forthcoming record should be very good. Best concert i'd been in ages.

ooh im excited 4 this 1!

triachus

yelling AAAA really straings the voice, and the tiny h really represents the struggle and hardship a vocal chord must endure for yelling AAAA

I've been using both for about three years. IFTTT doesn't have the same power - although it is free. For example, it can't run filters.

Hey fumi, if you see this please PM me (I tried PMing you but I think you put your settings to not receiving PMs or something unless you initiate them), just wanted to ask you a specific question.

Oh God yeah - that sax comes across like a smack to the head, especially that last high note...

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

He's kind of ruined what was building into a really powerful, emotional loop.

To be honest, I haven't enjoyed his path these last few years. 'Vivian & Ondine' was really the last great thing from him. He doesn't produce stuff like 'The River' anymore, let alone 'Camino Real'.

I did enjoy that Chartier collaboration from a while back. It was much more the kind of thing I used to like from him.

Yeah the 3 Chartier collabs are just magic - Not sure how much comes from each member but the overall effect is definitely more appealing to me than solo Basinski
