Soundcloud RDJ comments etc...

Correct me if this has already been covered in another thread, I did a search and didn't find anything.

Did anyone archive Richards comments and/or favorite obscure track links from the user18081971 page? I remember there being some useful comments regarding production, equipment etc..

What made me think of this specifically....I remember him mentioning a tape deck he recently purchased to which he said something to the effect of "I never knew tape could sound this good". I'm pretty sure it was a Tandberg, does anybody remember which model?

I might have youtube links for the obscure tracks sharing soundcloud entry thing if I can find them. Never got a chance to go through and check them all out.

Thanks, yeah for sure. Just remember there were some tid bits about different bits of gear, syths etc.. I think the cassette deck was this baby, which as much as I love tape I don't think I'll ever be willing to drop $1000 plus on.

It's particularly a shame since it was so easy to catalog them. You could literally just open all his comments, scroll to the bottom of the comments page, then copy and paste the entire text into a document and save it

I started doing it for a while but sort of forgot after a few months. Here's my latest backup of his comments

It's just a pity that the original question is not on that list of comments on soundcloud.

I remember clicking on each comment to see the original question and the answer...

yeah, it wasn't quite as simple as copying all his comments, context is key, if you have an answer without the question it can be meaningless in a lot of cases.

yeah its a shame, he was letting it rip, with all the stories about the tracks, and lush casual tech talk, the joking...
