goffer
here are 2 of our latest tracks::: -Clickies to Pushies [ Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag CLICKY]- took 3 weeks to master and finally finished it tonight. recorded with a bass, korg karma, and korg esx1. It's our favorite track to date. -ChiChaWawk [ Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag CLICKY] - i layed down a quick beat and my bud grabbed his bass and we did it live and the first take did the job. hope you enjoy. m.leafeater.dl
ChiChaWawk had me on the end of my seat the whole time. i really dug the low key feel of it, but man, if it just opened up into something bigger, if only for a minute or so, if would make it. remindes me of autechre's untilted, i likes. nice going, goffer! Guest 1884
vaguely reminds me of afx 'flim' melody. or the melody progression i should say...not the notes. i like the basslines. like them quite a bit actually. if you could just add some more melodic elements on top of what you have i think it would really take this track to another level. also, consider moving some of the drums sounds around in the mix. it feels kind of too centered. listening again. there's a lot of potential within this track. although as it is now, its a pretty good song. agree with leafcutter about the low key feel of it. i like that. second track was just ok. thanks for sharing these. Guest wasps
[+] the bass layers snippets were cool, subtle drum pattern. [–] the break lacked punch. there's miles of space for you to add more elements - currently it sounds like a backing track waiting for much more to be introduced. end is too abrupt. what's there is solid and i dug the bassness much, but it needs more happening to take it up a notch. good work boss! .) Jaffa
I listened to these earlier today, on headphones you can hear the hiss of either tape or computer noise which gives it a certain cushion muffled warmth. First track 'Dead girl' is pretty sweet melodically, really subdued guitar and nice space on the notes, couldnt tell to start with if that was a live drummer or just programmed beats because of the room verb sounds pretty authentic. Yeah I just dig the general blanket effect of the mix and loose lo fi ethic of it all. Nice work. BCM
Yeah, I really dig what you're doing here - I tried to record that "Chin Has A Yellow Face" track of mine last week, in a proper studio, with a bass guitarist instead of a 303, all recorded in real time...let me tell you, it was HARD. i really respect the way you've got this sequenced so well. Nice work.. Nice work.. yeah it takes a lot of time... we had to re-record the bassline in clickies to pushies at least 4-5 times to get it right, but for chichawawk it happened first shot and was beautiful how mapped out it sounds yet we freestyled it. thank you both BCM and Jaffa... your words mean a lot. I sohuld have another 2 tracks up tomorrow.
