What would AE think of Death Grips?

Does anyone know? Can someone ask them?

What do YOU think AE thinks about DG?

I imagine it's not on their radar as all. Kind of like Kraft Dinner or pennies.

TBH I don't really like DG, I had a friend who really pushed them on me so I took a listen. But as someone said before... McDonalds hamburgers.

What I WOULD find interesting is if AE made that hip-hop album they keep talking about with them...

I keep seeing so much hip hop influence in their electronic tracks thought that it's enough for me. Parts of the AE live sets and elseq etc strike me as heavily hip hop influenced. Oh and l-event

The hip-hop influence has always been there, but yeah recently they have been wearing it on their sleeves. If you listen to alot of Miami Bass you can directly hear where they were mining from, of course with alot of added creativity and interpretation of their own.

DG seem open enough to collaboration, the last thing I heard from them was a track with Les Claypool, whom I enjoy listening to. But they basically just ruined the track... so I resolved to not listen to DG's recent output-unless they do the AE thing!

thought i read that zach hill uses max 4 live controlled by drum pads in that or something

not in the mood for death grips very often but zach hill is brutally talented and death grips really isn't bad

Death Grips is more interesting than Aphex these days if you want to cut right to the chase about it.

They're a bit too samey imo and their style got old/uninteresting very quickly for me.

I got bored of them too, though initially they were indeed quite a shock. I think the track Full Moon in particular is pretty Ae-like rhythmically, not in a strict math, but in its abandoned groove.

I don't know how anyone could honestly believe that death quiffs is musically more interesting than the twin.

Then again, you never know.... opinions... =/

the music is actually ok occasionally (from the small bits I've managed to stomach for more than 2 mins), Ride is so ridiculously awful though.
