Murcof x Wagner - Statea (8-track album)

2016, Sept. 23rd, we'll see a proper 8 track album by Murcof + Vanessa Wagner called "Statea".

Now after EP1 they released another track of it, "Variations For The Healing Of Arinushka (Arvo Pärt - Edit Version)"

Finally, some proper music by Mr. Corona. For me this is very welcome, because I often neglected Piano music. Now after Murcof, Chopin Nocturnes and also Game of Thrones "Light of the Seven" music, I need to focus on Piano a bit more.

You sir, are a party pooper ;) They will all be new for most people here... Personally I love it more, it works better... than Versailles baroque or the Jazz Truffaz collab.

BTW I think I've seen somewhere, it'll be a 9-track album.

Oceano? can probably best be seen at an ocean, right over there @ the horizon ;-)

Hey I wish there'd be a collab Wagner/Ae, a tad more on the abstract side. Ae/Chopin? Ha! But hey Sam&Rub are more into Hiphop I guess. Unfortunately...

@Redruth, you need to know Dido&Aeneas, where some of Versailles is from. Best interpretation, and I know... many... is Concert d'Astree, Haim, Graham etc.

I would like to be excited for this but... I'm not. I want a solo Murcof album. Also that Avril 14th cover was cheesy. 

Well, I like the Gymnopedie and Alina tracks which already have been released before. They are good, but also, because the originals are good and Fernando does a good job. But now I am a little underwhelmed by the whole concept. I can't tell exactly, but this is not enough for me. We had Elseq this year, there is so much more experiments and ideas in Elseq. I mean he is not Ae, but he can do more.

What I dislike: they replaced the glorious finale (biiiiig distortion) of Gymnopedie in the album version with a pleasing sounding piano.

I can't fathom what's going on with Murcof and Oceano. It just seems really bizarre. Hurry the fuck up mate.

Murcof heard about certain WATMM members removing parts they don't like from tracks and said fuck it and scrapped the whole oceano album.
