Yes - it's time to celebrate the lovely Roland TR-707 drum machine.

 

I made this track a couple years ago as an experiment to make a complete song with nothing but drum samples from the TR-707.

 

Granted not one the best tracks I have made, but it was a fun experiment nonetheless.

 

All sounds stem from the TR-707, including the melodic parts.

Very 80's! Reminds me of a children's tv show like Fun House or Art Attack or something. Nice tune and clever limitations.

this indeed was a clever exercise. the melody leaves something to be desired but from an exercise standpoint i find it impressive. curious how those parts were done.

the last bar was especially tight.
