Saw this on reddit yesterday, as cool as the thought is and the photos are cool, this was a really dumb idea. Especially considering he was walking around in shorts and sandals.

Quite impressive but nothing compares to the combination of Ukraine's nature and abandoned soviet architecture.

Out of curiosity checked to see how bad the red zone was, but it's not measure for Fukushima, for Chernobyl its:

the "Red Zone" (50–200 µSv·h⁻¹) where evacuees might return once radiation levels normalized

@ 50µSv·h⁻¹ I think it take 20,000hrs to get 1gy of exposure. Not massive, but I still wouldn't be strolling around in bloody shorts.

really shorts aren't going to be a problem, you want to avoid particulates getting into your body more than anything, give yourself a good shower when you get back and you'd be fine.
