DJ Sprinkles & Will Long - Long Trax

Comatonse is putting out a trilogy of EPs from Will Long, a.k.a. Celer.

The tunes mark an about face from Long's experimental work under the name Celer—these are straight-up deep house dance floor efforts made with "rhythm composer percussion, polyphonic synth chords, and rack sampler vocals." Therre Thaemlitz will provide overdubbed versions of each track as DJ Sprinkles.

The first EP is out this week, with the other two following in September, as well as a double CD collecting up all the tracks in digital format.

Samples sound really tasty, will this make it to bandcamp? Any other links? That comatonse website is a bit rubbish to navigate...

DJ Sprinkles is always outstanding.

You can already pre-order the double cd here: http://comatonse.com/releases/c026/index.html

And later this material will also be made available at Will Long's online shop as digital downloads: http://williamthomaslong.com/shop/

Aah, great! Thanks :) don't know much DJ Sprinkles to be honest, but I do have the Mark Fell collab which is fantastic.

If you're into really deep deep house, this is the one record to take to a desert island: Midtown 120 Blues.

Probably the most sensuous music ever released.

This compilation of his remix work is almost as good.

Wow, this is a collaboration I never would've imagined. Can't get too much from those samples at the moment, other than it sounds like Comatonse, but I'm definitely interested.

Also, I passionately second everything ventolin said. Midtown is essential, and Queerifications is remarkably close to it even though it was never conceived as an album when those individual mixes were made.
