i asked someone else and they said "blonde" is reserved for females while "blond" is for males. kinda seems like reaching imo with the whole "commentary on current issues" thing but whatever

I've listened to it maybe 5 times already. Probably my album of the year. Good job, Frank.

not surprised he is a fan, there is a lot of attention to detail on Blonde that made me think of Aphex, but then again I always associate detail with Aphex...

Blond VS Blonde is argument of the year!

Really wanted to like it, been listening for two days almost non-stop. Channel orange had a lot of great tracks, but this is pretty bland, almost no distinct melodies, very similar tempos, voice mostly just following chords, good production but that`s about it...maybe it`s mostly about lyrics but I almost never cared about them when I`m listening to music. So..meh.

all this harmony engine usage makes me wish i could afford harmony engine.

Lot of friends who are way more into R&B and hip-hop have been raving about this a lot, I haven't really followed but apparently there was some live video stream and a bunch of other promo stuff. I like the guy but I never got into Channel Orange besides the enjoyable but not mind-blowing singles I heard but never really gave it a chance either. I get the impression this is more experimental. Since some of y'all like it I'll have to get around to listening to it.

I think modern day RnB is something I try very hard to steer clear of, (I think 10 years ago I would of written something much much stronger than that!) But I'm a bit more mellow and nowadays much less tribal in my loves and hates.

Anyway I do quite like the atmosphere of some of Mr Oceans tunes. When they come on the radio I dig 'em.  Makes me feel like I've just gone through a wormhole and have ended up in some nice bar in Los Angeles and a lush Martini's on its way.

Anyone know when this comes out for folks without Apple Music?

I didn't really like this album that much on first listen, I didnt really get it, but I keep coming back to it this week. There is some pretty amazing songwriting and music on this album, I think it's better than Channel Orange, although that definitely wasn't my first impression.

Solo and solo pt 2, Nights, and Skyline To are my favorites. Second half of Nights gives me chills every time, I have had that track on repeat.
