Roland is doing something 909 again

Seems like they have started to hype something 909 related for the September 9th date. It has an Aira badge on the promo but doesn't the TR-8 already have 909 emulation?

Probably a bunch of goofy EDM grooveboxes/ workstations in the vein of the miserable MC-series, only with 2000 more lumen, 100% less virtual analog and ten times more analog modelling.

I hope it's a 909 with TR-8 emulation which has 909 emulation

909-emulation in an 909 with TR-8 emulation would be indeed ace, hopefully at 192kHz

I hope it's a drum machine that is as small as the other devices in the boutique range simply because I want to see synth nerds crying about it being too small

omg a 909 virtual-analogue clone but with the 16step sequencer replaced with mini keys. 

lol, and not even mini sequencer buttons either, just a 16-key mini keyboard

are those jean michel jarre lasers ? where carefully breaking a certain laser triggers the button input.

gonna have to go full ' entrapment' just to sequence a 4/4 bass hit

What?  That's basically saying "I never understood techno."  909 is phat with distortion and unique enough to be recognized but generic enough to be used in everything.  Like Helvetica, it's tight but played out.
