The Morton Subotnick appreciation thread

 

His music is so old and still sounds new, this one is from 1967:

 

 

Most of you know him, but for those who don't:

Morton Subotnick was in the team that invented the modular synthesizer and directly or indirectly influenced every piece of electronic music you know massively

 

He is a main influence on Autechre

Morton Subotnick...no words. was just listening to Wild Bull.

 

He was teamed up with Don Buchla and others at the SF tape music center and his ideas lent a lot to what became the Buchla Synthesizer but they didn't invent the first modular. A year before they had their first system Bob Moog was selling modules and systems at trade shows. 

Yes yes, he is the man. Making Music a huge influence on my life. Making More Music perhaps even more hehe
