listened to blue interference pulling through while playing some halo, it developed into a pretty tense atmosphere, and as such my adrenaline kicked in and i managed to kill lots of people. i greatly enjoyed killing to this piece. also, i was on the blue time, so i felt like i was pulling through.

shiverpool - (is this a play on liverpool?) dark and brooding. i like how this cello note sounding thing seems to kind of surface from a murky swamp every now and then. this would be good quake music. actually yeah this is better than trent reznor's quake soundscapes. well it definitely feels like a pool of some sort, with the way the voices seems to bubble. i'm scared though i dont think i would listen to this in the dark while trying to sleep. i like how it sort of pulses/throbs near the end . . . the way the sounds change is very very subtle, which i appreciate.

nice soundscapes you've created.

excellent! *rubs hands together, Mr. Burns stylee*

i agree about quake.. shiverpool, which wasn't intended as a pun on liverpool but admittedly made me laugh approximately 4 seconds after thinking it up because of said pun, does have some of that darkbrown murky dungeon-vibe that made reznor's soundtracks fit so well with those games back in the day.. but maybe its a bit too introspective and melancholic to fit in a q1/2-styled games.. i reckon it'd be wicked to make music/sound for games for a living; its something i'll be pursuing now that i finished those damn highschool exams last week.. thanks for the feedback...

gegroet,

yo rico, thanks for listening..! shiverpool is very monotonous and minimal indeed, i can understand why you're hoping for an unforseen surprise; but for me, it is one of those tracks that are only worth listening to when you're in the zone.. that slightly detached mindset.. when you're awake for more than 36 hours... or when the mushrooms are slowly wearing off.. when being under the pressure of large amounts of THC... when everything seems slightly un/surreal and off-centre... like your whole perception is detuned in a way.. at times like those, if you play this kinda music on a huge soundsystem, these tracks do something strange to you...

maybe you'd the like the other track "blue interference.." more, it moves smooth yet distinctively and changes pretty radically..

as for more rhythm/percussion-oriented stuff, yeah i do that too (just not as much lately). lemme see if i have some space left on my websites... hmm... ezcid.net is full, and the crappy free chello-site is almost full too.. about 10-15mb left.. well, i'll upload a small track then, nothing spectacular but i like it:

gruesome atmospheres.....yeah!!

everything has a haunting feel. this type of music is so visual. i see a lot of dark colours like dark brown, green and a lot of black.

awesome music for a horror movie or something. you can compare this with quake's ost by nine inch nails and that's a good thing because i really dig that

damn, the last part of the first track sounds so fucking evil, like a masked creature with a rusty chainsaw or something

well fucking done iepster 666!

thx shocker, but if you thought thàt was gruesome, listen to this:

kernfusiep heddik -- 14mb, 7:22min

its the most desolate, monolith on rainy plains in the year 39941 BC stylee mammoth sound since 39941 BC.

Good God Damn!

These are indeed some hauntingly beautiful atmos and textures. Really interesting stuff. Some of the slower and darker pieces remind me of an album by Rich/Lustmord called 'Stalker'. One of my favorite darker soundscape albums.

larktekswitch if really enjoyable for me. The rhythmic work is excellent in contrast to the huge pads and atmosphere.

Nice work. I will be enjoying these for some time. Thanks for sharing.

Peace

no shit..? thats one of my favorite albums ever(!).... and the movie that it is based on, 'Stalker' by Tarkovsky, is one of the best movies ever made if you ask me.. the movie is absolutely worth seeking out if you like that album.. it is a bit obscure, and it is russian, but if you can find a nice, subtitled version, you should definitely see it..
