Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Booked flights for this, thought it was going to be on to 5am, alas its only on til 2 so I'll have some time to kill before the first flight home, does anyone have any recommendations for places to go afterwards?

I'm kind of in the same situation - first train back home won't be until after 7am or 8am.

My plan was to hide somewhere.

Yeah Manchester sucks a tad for 24 hour/late night venues. Manchester235 is a 24/7 casino where you might be able to mould yer brain back together at the bar but I am not sure if you'll need to sign up for membership to get in.

Guess we'll have to blag our way to the aftershow party then lol. Sean pls.

Coming from Belfast were there is pretty much zero after hours life, let alone life before that, it will be no surprise.

I'm a pipe and slippers man anyway. But Ae live is too good to miss.

yeh pls do...

I accidentally booked my flight back on Monday instead of Sunday... if anyone knows good things to do during the daytime and/or wants to hang out let me kno.

NQ is good for being a hipster turd (some nice record shops and bars and few proper old boozers, and great fry ups at Koffee Pot), the gallery is free, Heaton Park is just down the tram and good for blowing away the cobwebs this time of year. Depends what you're looking for. I might be able to crawl out for a pint or two, and also thinking of heading to this the night after https://www.facebook.com/events/323966967957898/ (Radian / Dälek / Ex-Retina / Severed Shadow Trio)

The Northern Quarter has loads of late bars. Nighhtclubs tend to be more miss than hit unless there's something special going on. Not sure about late Oxford road but worth also checking out listings in that area.

Ok so i'm so shocked after the lyon gig that i'm planning to go to manchester for the last date. Do you have a good recommandation for a cheap and nice play to stay in town ? Thanks watmm !

^ nice. yea since this is the last show it might be slightly special...? Likely mates of the 'chre being there etc...

also haven't booked accommodation yet, will look for airbnb in the next days but if anyone has a place to crash or so that would be super!

Not been to Granada yet. My mom went there years ago when Coronation Street was filmed there and she reckoned anymore than three Rev 5 Funktion One dance stacks would be overkill for the Rovers...

The last Manchester gig was in real weird place but it was cool. Like an abandoned warehouse in the middle of a shopping centre. As the gigs aren't visual spectacles you could have just stood outside and listened for free as the wooden partitioning wasn't exactly deadening the sound...the casino opposite would probably sell you a drink too :)

yeah I kinda liked last year's "last minute" vibes. Just grabbed what space they could and stacked some speakers. I wonder what folk leaving the cinema round the corner must have thought was going on in there.

We have booked a hotel 3 miles from the city center. There must be something happening on the same night as all local hotel prices were through the roof. Defo up for some pre-game beers and music chat before we head in if everybody is meeting up somewhere?

it's kind of amazing how this hasn't sold out yet.

thought maybe the venue is going to be yuuuge, but there's pretty much zero interaction on the event's Facebook page:

compare with Berlin where people are desperate for tickets:

weird imo, as Manchester seems to be the best location for anyone from UK north..?

Four more days of work in this horrible Scottish weather then four hours on a train. Nice!

Pretty excited now. I have been caining the recent boots, that Helsinki recording is incredible.

think I'll just be having food and pre-drinks with friends so I'll see yall in there. was there any WATMM designated pub for people to stroke each others' beards in? I don't really know the part of town the venue is at.
