Brainwaltzera - Marzipan EP

Haven't seen any talk about this yet but the infamous user0000008673 Soundcloud account just released a 12" EP. I ordered my copy the other day so I'll post some pictures when it gets here. Maybe there will be a hint at who's behind the account.

The vinyl is being shipped from Italy so maybe he is from here, or maybe it's just where the pressing plant is and they dispatch from there.

There were tracks from both  https://soundcloud.com/ogie and 

on the brainwaltzera account, but Ogie was the most diligent about covering his tracks after posting and then deleting comments that indicated his involvement - he has also linked to the new EP from his soundcloud

 

He's also from the same region as Stelios Ioannou and he likes to use the same greek characters as the brainwaltzera account, and he makes a wide variety of electronic music

Also I remember noticing some mis-bit tags in the early days when downloads were available (thanks to nyr22)  but not Ogie. Think Ogie had just commented on a track calling the guy "mis-bit" and then that was deleted. Maybe they're friends.

 

In any case order a copy and will see if there's any more details on the record.

He also answered me saying he might do a digital release,for those interested.

Great Soundcloud account that one.

It was one of the ones that caused quite a few is it RDJ? questions that were predicatably batted away in the arogant way that sometimes prevails on here.

i dont really get a richard sense from it, even though bwe has a couple songs of alternate versions of richard's sc songs that came out at roughly the same time, and the two accounts seemed to be coordinating in terms of timing and with some references to each other. if it's richard then it's a project that very successfully achieves a unique and different sound. this would be consistent with the name brain waltz era, like he's trying to deliberately create a new genre of chill electronic music. despite that, it's hard for me to believe it's him. not because of quality, just because of personality. i wonder if it's a friend of his, though

I just received my 12" in the mail, pressing sounds top notch and of course i'm assuming most in this thread have already heard the tracks.  It's very very good.

Now i'm just curious who is exactly behind this.

I just received my vinyl and I'm pretty certain it's mis-bit now. Rec'd Up 001 is scratched onto the surface along with "MB." I googled Rec'd Up and found this http://aredcup.blogspot.com/p/recd-up.html
