Guest thisket
Hot Yellow = ambient. Noccacid = acid. Can you call something acid if it doesn't have a 303 in it? I'm so depressed. Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/9205-ambientacid/ Share on other sites
perunamuusi
i`m listening to noccacid right now....i likes it....yes you can call something acid if it doesn`t have a 303...acid to me is about "cut off" and "res." and the 303 just happens to be a very pHat example of that....i like this....chaotically funky (but funky nonetheless)....and there is way too little funk in music lately....i`ll check out the other one ....but there`s no point in me "reviewing" ambient stuff right now....because i`1m real fukcing high on cacao nibs and goji berries could maybe be 30 secs shorter... .... Jaffa
These are the best of your more recent tracks, Noccacid has some really funky clanky resonating strut to it, nice rhythmic build up on all the different noted layers, nice reverb roomsizes and delay. I thought Hot yellow was a real mood setter too. Nice work mr Thisk! Guest thisket
Thanks for listenign2@@!!!d@! Both feature my new MS-10 doing bit parts. "Hot Yellow" has the MS-10 doing a deep noise and "Noccacid" has it doing a plain saw-wave noise. I made these after not making stuff for a whole 2 DAYS! I think it helped. Thanksx againm!!!! mmm@mmm!!! sufdgdfiug gue Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/9205-ambientacid/#findComment-187583 Share on other sites
Guest Promo
You really got an MS10? Pics please. I do like the reverb shit underneath that was quite unexpected and adds a nice feel to this tune. I'm feeling you need to explore more and create more harmonisations because the deep reverb sound is just shouting out for some notes to back it up and take it to the next level. Overall like the feel of this. I fear the beat has taken 2nd place somewhat though as my thoughts seem to be more on the music. Yeah this wasn't really acid to me thank goodness. I felt it was more on a sophisticated techno/electro tip. Like that reverb synth big time. Didn't totally develop how I would have hoped. Not bad though. Guest Promo
Hot Yellow was quite deep. I kinda liked it from the start. Very dark and moody but I like it. You could really chill to this. Definitely has a bit of SAW2 feel to it. I did wonder as I progressed whether a few more layers would have been nice. Guest thisket
Thanks. It's always nice to get a comment from Mr. Promo. Pictures of my MS-10... Hmmm... Does no one believe me or something? OK... hold on... Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/9205-ambientacid/#findComment-188005 Share on other sites
