autopilot
i randomly clicked on the following: treader - craziness. very trippy & all over the place. something i would enjoy to give a few listens & absorb. butterfly bass - awesomeness. i love synths like that, in combination with the hip hop-ish beats is a great feeling. drunken promenade - great texture to the drums. sounds arovane-ish. the synths however, do not. they sound yann_g-ish. or wait, maybe i DIDN'T randomly click on them, because mentally i had already made a decision to click on the ones that i did before i clicked on them. now my mind is blown and i can't do anything but ponder that. Guest yan_g of course!
since i reviewed a lot of tracks lately i thought i'd bump my latest thread, who knows? :) off those tracks my recommendations would be treader puls: Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://wondermp3s.free.fr/works_in_progres...reader_puls.mp3 and u0n2t2 part ii: Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://wondermp3s.free.fr/works_in_progres...2%20part_II.mp3 and doozers march: Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://wondermp3s.free.fr/works_in_progres...ch-03-12-05.mp3 (this last track has some slow evolution, it's on purpose) Edited May 8, 2006 by yan_g of course! Quality progression - those weird beeps really start to fit in well with the rest of the tune around 2:45. The pad behind it all is well nice - just my sort of thing. I thought the beat was OK, could have done with a few more breaks though in my opinion. Overall though, really good. Smart. Then onto u0n2t2 part_II - First off, sounds a little distorted - think the bass needs some EQing. Quality sounds though, nice programming. I like the chime type sounds, nice panning effects that come through the mix really well. This track reminds me of Brothomstates a bit - that's a good thing though...I'm liking the way the track's building, nice breaks and use of sound here. Lovely bit of synth at 3:03 - getting quite Plaid now.....yeah, lovely. Well done. Finally Treader Puls - Nice little funky beat, that lead is a little annoying, sounds better when the bass pads it out a bit.....but, yeah, I'd fuck that off. The track's got a harshness to it and I feel it needs a smoother lead synth to balance it better. I like all the little breaks and tweaks, very nicely done. Tight. The beat drop at 2:37 is really well done. Yeah, it's actually morphed into a nice little track now, sounds sweet. Nice one. goffer
treader puls--- interesting track...seemed a little busy at first but envolved into the large monster with grimmy fists. I really liked how it slowed down around 1/2 way mark then sped up with all those beeps you threw at us. Im impressed... good work. u0n2t2 part ii--- i never had the pleasure of listening to part 1 but may have to go dig for it. Also a very impressive track. I like the distortion on the bass but i dont know if that was intentional or not, but i'd say keep it... it gives the track more character. I like the slow build up from 1/2 mark to 3/4 mark (damn quite time plug-in doenst provide time). You tore my heart out with this one. doozers march--- so far very bizare... this track has my cat performing wierd tricks and head movements. It's very simple yet complex... there's a lot goin on. a fun little track to give your mind a clean fuck-aroo. Guest silencide
butterfly bass: excellent!!! the melodies are simply staggering :) and the guitar, which is playing maybe 15sec in all, bring a pleasant surprise to listeners! doozers march: good roots ;) each bar contain oddness and everything is coming in perfectly! i think it's not a Hit because the first listening is a bit hard, but Odd-Lovers will be overjoyed... Just one question: Do all the doozers die at the end ??? drunken promenade: Joy and mindlessness... absolutely matchless!!! only you can make it! the only thing: the bass is ok with ~piano but doesn't fit that well with the beat :( treader plus: it really begins around 2:00 with an incredible introduction! please CTRL+X the beginning, and CTRL+V at the end. But the track is still full of great ideas. u0n2t2: one more time : excellent!!! the melodies are simply staggering :) waltz and restlessness... emotions boiling over my speakers :) maybe you should cut the bass around 2:55 (and not 3:10) that's the only little thing Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/921-last-spam-for-6-months/#findComment-165790 Share on other sites
chaosmachine
'joyeux bordel' reminds me of the books. i like it. 'marcher' has a lot going on at once, but everything has it's space which is good. would like to see the melody evolve and maybe bring in a counter melody.
