No, no it does not.

 Yeah that sucks. If someone plays an album tens times on spotify, it's like they own it because the interest is high enough imO, The artist doesn't get the same amount of money though.  But you say that they don't make those stats available. Why do artists support things like spotify ? Seems like another road back to serfdom for the creator. I would need an huge amount of research to properly discuss this topic so i'll shut up now.
