What's Your Favorite 808 State Release?

I love them all, they each have a flavor of their own and take you on an adventure. I'd have to say some if my top favs are Quadrastate, Ninety and ExEl. There's something about 808 State's music that never gets old and always manages to take me away to a far away place. Any other big fans in here?

I've only heard the odd 808 state remix here and there, I've never actually ventured into their discography.

I'm gonna get on that.

Edit: lol... I didn't realize a Guy Called Gerald was part of 808 state. Learn something new every day. Now I'm even more interested in their discog. I'm going to start with Quadrastate and Prebuild.

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

They really got there w/ that one and were able to get passed all of the rave stigma (not to discount it, just that they are much more than that).

Ninety was the first album I've heard of there's and so it has a special place for me. I also think it's the dreamiest of all their material. Such a perfect mix of acid jazz, techno and left field electronica. I feel like Ninety is kind of its own sound, that separates their early more heady and purist acid from their later vocal / pop releases-sort of a point where all styles meet which is maybe why its really appealing to me

But yes I agree that they got really good around Don Solaris.

I'm too young to have got into them first time round (except for Pacific State which was everywhere) so my introduction was when the early albums were re-issued in 2004, it'd have to be Prebuild, Newbuild, Quadrastate or Ninety. I don't listen to much after Don Solaris, never thought the guest vocalist thing worked that well.
