Blaž - Gangsta Angel / Alkohol

Probably shouldn't post these here since they are meant to be on my next album, but fuck it, I always appreciated WATMM's feedback, so here you go, two tracks :)

I love Gangsta Angel as it is, but Alkohol is still a bit... uneventful right? I like it for what it represents but its slowness sometimes works for me, sometimes doesn't. The thing is, as soon as I try to change it, it becomes something else and is not this slow mothafocka from da hood anymore.

gangsta angel reminds me of the golden triphop days, prodigy voodoo people flutes on top of chemical brothers block rockin' beats, catchy  . Some vocal hooks on top, Q-tip rapping and you have a hit ;) .

I think your assessment of Alkohol hits the nail on the head. Personally I'm not feeling the growly bass piano combo that much, also it being used all throughout the track, might be something to try, after the short synthy break in the middle, to have that bass replaced with another bass timbre/processed differently? I have a cold though, so don't trust my taste judgement.

Yes! I like this idea to have the bass processed differently in Alkohol in the middle part. It is a fairly simple structure after all so a little bit of different sounding bass could do a lot! Thank You :)
