hey everyone, id love to know your favorite movies of the year!

tough one rly. Off the top of my head, can't remember one single movie I really enjoyed tbh

haven't seen a lot of these but omg some were really awful like Hail Cesar, or that Cloverfield one...

probably should watch The Hand Maiden? Maybe Toni Erdmann (not out yet)?

I made a top five but there's nothing i was that stoked with, and i need to watch more, hopefully a film i love. I gave the best films i watched from this year a 7/10, and a few an 8 to be kind, out of 50 films.

I still haven't seen Hunt for the Wilderpeople and La La Land, those are big on my list. But I legit would not feel comfortable putting any other film from 2016 in a top 5.

god all movies this year were so shitty

only one i *slightly* enjoyed was  v v itch and even then it had some serious issues. i guess the lobster was ok but similarly problematic

Hah, I really liked both of those. I thought Deadpool was awful (but I don't like superhero films in general). I forget what else was out. Slim pickins for sure.

Deadpool was terrible

i dont mind the odd bit of marvel shlock. enjoyed ant man. enjoyed the avenger film on first viewing but rewatch was unbearable. found winter soldier dull. eh. eh. eh. i dunno. guardians of the galaxy was fun. 

anyway. deadpool was the only marvel i had to turn off after ~30 minutes on account of being actively bored and irritated for the 30 minutes i was watching it for. 

looking forward to seeing Arrival and Rogue One. 

will try and watch some proper movies too in the new year. get my actually-not-garbage movie game back on.

Ehm... so Hunt for the Wilderpeople was good, but I'm not really sure I can cram it into a Top 5 list. Weiner was pretty good, but again... Top 5? The same goes for Elle. It was good, but it didn't leave an impact.

I'm really excited for Moonlight, Fences, and Nocturnal Animal so I'm hoping they can live up to the hype.

But yeah, looking at the Golden Globe nominations makes me sad.

I only watched The Hateful Eight and the David Brent film, and I enjoyed both, so I guess they're my top by default.

Do wanna check out Hail Caesar at some point. Scarlett Johansson in a Coen Bros flick is my dream cum true.
