random shit i wrote about ideas/music while mixing

i remember that years ago when i was searching goodwill stores for instruments/casios etc. i was all like if only i could sample just random objects from the store in some way, or it was like feeding ideas into my head. i guess it was something more like samples are a kind of meme and i was trying to fin the mme content in the object like what the hell are tissue boxes anyway. like there is this school of thought/design/berlin school bauhaus thing of what a tissue box is supposed to be like obv soft and fluffy feelings but more than that possibly something insidious but i really dont know. iii just wish someone would fight/lash back against the mores?? of this and make like super unappealing tissues boxes? like it would be perfect if they instantly reminded you of boogers/snot instead of obscuring the idea of the very thing by virtue of the soft fluffy designs. There is some potential i think in the exploration of mucous textures in an abstract way as applied to tissue boxes design and

 

workin on/tweaking music mix as i'm doing this like w/ mouse for mixing and keyboard on left hand. i coded a thing/changed some code so i can mix one track and the toggle for manipulating it with the mouse is a GLOBAL variable, so all instances of all effects can recgonize it and it is in the per-media-item effect chain so i can have all the songs on an album on one longass track and once one track ends it switches immediately to tweaking the next track without me doing anything, just kind of with the intent of listening more and leaving left brain stuff to the computor and i can listen to the album as intended without clicking start/stop mixing it as this continous stream of experience i guess

anybody know if there exists a text-to-speech program but in VST form? like apply automation to it in one way or another and do these warped robot spoken word parts. a good way to get good vocal samples is to just mash consonants and vowels together and marvel as the text to speech tries to interpret how it's supposed to sound even though not real word. do they have variants of text to speech for African people with the *click* sound included/supposedly denoted as an ! exclamation mark for future reference

 

i do have a concept behind my proper albums it's just a really freaking abstract concept like a movie with samuel l jackson and gumby in the same scene in a diner for the first time in MOVIE HISTORY and then gumby is melting into the t100 (1000?) but the arcade game version all pixellated

 

the hans zimmer masterclass seems slightly better than dead mau five but he seems kinda smug/obvious about it and i'm not sure if i like the cut of his jib or if there is even a jib to be cutten in this case. the needle drop guy on youtube is basically more jib than anyone ever in existence and i hate the fuck out of it

 

my brother never heard of stream of consciousness until i said it in a phone conversation he called it freestyle talking before that i guess

 

i am trying to mix these songs in a way that feels i guess mundane or like HO HUM good chord progression would listen again but that is an awful way of trying to convey what i mean. but i like the idea of making this traumatic/anxiety attack song just wash over you like i equate it with the idea of oldschool videogames or whatever where there is like this difference between horrible traumatic videogame aesthetic and something not boring as fuck/sense of adventure to it, like goes to scary place but in an exciting way/trying to reassure kid that not all adults are pussies/is only way to live/survive as adult. like i don't know maybe the Contra games have scary-looking aliens but not SCARY aliens imho?? like geez that alien looks FIERCING and makes the game exciting/not again some stupid anxiety attack for no reason

 

so saw 85-92 song titles are mostly probably just random words/terms RDJ was studying in college at that moment in time?? like electronics + greek words + whatever tha is

 

orange friend off belgian elmo mixtape (not to be confused with orange friend 2 off mobb beep rip gentlemen's edition) is good example of trying to balance between anxiety and like something thrilling/not boring? or in this case the intent is for this feeling of disorientation to win over anxiousness as primary feeling the listener takes away from it

 

i hope by 2018 all media is just meta as fuck/no pageantry whatsoever like dreamworks 3d cartoon movies are just so awful secret life of pets looks like a turd. like they found a good urban-looking font for the movie title like Frasier opening titles and that is the only intelligent thought that went into it?? but i haven't seen it aside from the previews so who knows

textures in music are good i am literally obsessed with real world textures of things in real life. i got usb 3 cable and the feels/texture of it is so perfect it's like some synesthetic response on the tip of my tongue. after dinner mints?

 

fuck the aesthetic of the spotify logo Shuang's Audio Joiner is where it's at. also audiograbber/that cd ripper software with the fucking hand coming out of the screen who does this

 

but yeah trying to mix in a such a way that it is engaging but stupid in the moment engaging (but doesn't feel cheap) like making stupid internet posts for no reason. engaging the way stoner talk is engaging i guess?

 

fractal explorer is a cool program/use to make album art but the creator must be from somewhere in europe/broken english so the fractal transformations don't explain what is happening mathwise?? like what the hell is FRACTAL DIMENSION 3 aside from sounding dank as fuck

 

some pretty dank people exist on the internet but have like no online presence it seems? like maybe the fractal tune smithy guy ROBERT INVENTOR. that guy can like comprehend forever probably

 

love the tenous relationship between fractal art and actual good taste/aesthetics. basically it is just drugs in computer form/everything seems rad and then you render it and not so much

 

i agree with fractals in aesthetics/art theory whatever but like the fractals shouldn't be ultra-obvious??? like thinking fractals are a cool thing to look at like cars or alienware computers, this is wrong thinking

 

i would ideally make a fractal explorer that auto takes snapshots every two seconds?? so you preserve the ideas and can revisit them but you can keep going with a tenously better idea too
