the kopyright liberation fools should just reissue chill out so I have a copy with the original cover, not just some black-sleeved bootleg. apart from that, I want to believe.

Drummond: "We have no plans to reform The KLF or exploit our back catalogue in any way"

Given that he gave up recorded music - sold all his records, formed a choir that only performs live - quite a few years ago, I find it difficult to imagine he'd start making music again. Similarly I saw an interview with Cauty a few years back in which he said he'd said everything he could with music, which is why he's moved onto other forms. These are two guys who actually burned a million quid, so if anyone's going to stick to their guns, it's them. We might get discussion on the burning (they said they wouldn't discuss it for 23 years), but I'd be absolutely staggered - and lose a fair bit of respect for them - if they actually made new music.

Artists and so forth can have high ideals, principles, morals, integrity and so forth but it all boils down to money in the end.

The only reason we don't get a new BOC album every two years is because they don't need to do it.

I reckon this KLF thing will happen.

All this could be a bit premature - not to mention, presumptious. A 23 year absence. The world is very different place now.

For their ego's sake, lets hope someone out there even cares.

Drummond and Cauty don't strike me as the sort. Again, the burned a million quid. They don't care about money. Drummond sweeps streets, bakes cakes, gives soup to strangers etc. as part of his art. If he did stuff for money he'd be in a different business.

Anyway again, he said on the radio very specifically today that The KLF aren't reforming.

No, that's why they went to the trouble of getting a poster designed and printed.

Why would he state on national radio that they're not reforming the KLF after this poster was revealed?

I'm not saying they're not doing anything, but I can't imagine it'll be music.

do hope they are doing something musical. That would be great.

But please, let's not have some internet treasure hunt nonsense and endless hype.  :boc:

Why would they even bother denying if nothing was going to happen?

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, there's a video, a poster (23rd august 2017) and an interview on the radio. Perhaps all the talk about not K, L of F is because the 23years contract is currently still up and running? My guess is they're currently legally still bound to deny anything KLF related, so they're in a tongue in cheek marketing phase. Preparing for a release of sorts in august this year. Guessing that contract will pass in august as well, so the message till then will consist of mostly denying the klf will ever make music again (but something will happen in august...).

I just presume if the KLF come back, it'll be something interesting simply because it is those guys and the way that they did everything and the way they think.  The last thing I thought when I saw the rumours was that they would go back to being that hit-singles band from 1991 or whatever... I mean, would they?

I think that would make me quite sad.  I'm sure at least one of their wives weren't happy about the burning a million quid thing, but coming back for money would kind of undo all of what they were about.  Unless they think it might be 'art' to blow apart the KLF fantasy.  Argh.

I want some more situationist pranks, though  :emotawesomepm9:

My dad seems pretty interested in this, he was a fan back in the day. I'll keep updates on this to see if anything happens.
