I hope that means they release a new album this year. That would be so nice since I love how their style developed

Really neat article about "Electronic/Shoegaze" here.  Lots of love for Seefeel.

Thanks, interesting read. I'm not a big fan of shoegaze but the newer Seefeel material is very interesting and unique and I want more of that style

'Something' is definitely on the way. They've been performing new music and it sounds like their best material yet:

and remixes of classics:

Love that they gave so many props to Middleton & Pritchard's contributions to this genre, that Slowdive remix they did blew my mind, then a few years later got to hear the entirety of Pentamerous Metamorphosis and my fandom was cemented.

Positive Metal Attitude

Goddamn this article is lush. I've been obsessed with this era and arbitrary 'scene' 90s era shoegaze meets IDM meets ambient sounding stuff ever since I was turned onto Seefeel and then the album Pygmalion a few years back. This covers a lot of the music I was coming across in that search. Glad to see another person point out the Pygmalion influenced a slew of bedroom glitch, electronic, and "nugaze" producers and the tribute album bearing the name of one of their best tracks ever (blogger shallow rewards/chris ott has also mentioned this in one of his videos).

Some lesser known early-mid 90s 4AD artists who fit the bill as well - Swallow and Insides are good examples - they kind of took the dream pop sound of Cocteau Twins and ran with it

^ found this via a Chemical Brothers I was looking for, a song I heard long before any of this other stuff - love how stuff comes around full circle

It's not a new Seefeel album, but Seefeel's Mark Clifford and Scott Gordon (Loops Haunt) put out a collaborative album today called 'Oto Hiax' on Editions Mego. I made a topic for it over here. Very fresh sound design, droney, concrete style with very lush momentshttps://forum.watmm.com/topic/92521-oto-hiax-oto-hiax-seefeelloops-haunt-collab/

Just zoning out big time to the S/T album, I love it so much. Aside from Autechre, probably my most listened to Warp release from the past 10 years.

Warp? It's Mego! Mego is today what Warp probably was back in the days imo

edit: but yeah, it's the best thing they made so far :)
