i really hope they don't make this a CGI fest and more of the classic and (hopefully) more serious animation especially when the guy in charge of it looks like this

CGI is cheaper than traditional animation these days, although they could still do a traditional animation (not 3D) style with CGI, so that would still work.

Normally this would be pass for me, but the involvement of top comics geez' Warren Ellis is intriguing.

I'm intrigued.

and that's one of the problems i have with CGI. i feel because it has become so cheap, it has become rather disposable. like the recent remakes of thundercats and he-man. imo, this franchise deserves something that gives it more serious attention

i hope they bring back the symphony of the night voice actors

I'm guessing from an economic standpoint that's how companies like Disney and Pixar are able to crank out so many CGI-animated family movies now. Isn't it at a rate of like, 2 or 3 a year now?

I think Toy Story was the first of its kind. But I think even that was still live action, aside from the characters.

ahem.... this is showing right now. anyone watching? i know i am (just curious)

is it good?

so far (watched episode 1)... i like it. 

p.s. don't know how much anyone is into the storyline. i'm not. i'm going along with what they're telling me so i can't tell you whether they get certain parts right or wrong, but to me it's cool.
