quaristice cover art = derek jarman blue?

check out the back of the blue dvd, essentially identical in design. coil also contributed to the film's soundtrack, and autechre have said they are a massive influence on them. wat u think? they ask for tdr to do it in the style of that?

The text for Radiohead's In Rainbows is much more similar to this than Quaristice. Certainly not "essentially identical" sorry. I've seen that extreme text spacing (is this considered kerning? I'm not graphics designer...) elsewhere, many times and places in fact. If anything Quaristice's randomness in spacing is more unique than the even-yet-extreme spacing displayed in your example.

yeah the above example is basically just an extreme usage of justified text (which is quite common in design tbh).. where with quaristice each letter seems to have been individually given some degree of randomly extreme kerning.
