not sure what sort of music you usually like to make, or if this type of smooth jazz is the genre you like to work in...but sounds like its on the cusp of changing into a more psychedelically infused song by adding some simple noodling LFO driven reverbed synth lead mixed in nicely to the background,

Yes, I'm not sure what style it is. Although of course it's better to imagine what style you are doing at the beginning of the work. But I'm still swimming somewhere in between.
