Looking through the archives of what went out via that record club doesn't make it look very appealing. A lot of hand picked bollocks for folk who want an eclectic collection for the sake of telling you about how varied their tastes are.... I kind of like the idea of a mystery record being delivered every month but if the fucking gorillaz lp turned up I'd be less than amused.

Recodd Stoor DAy Arfex Twane LP filled with Rilchard Dee Jamz spunk.

I grabbed the VMP reissue of Pinkerton last year. Decent pressing and nice presentation too, so I know these dudes approach their projects respectfully. Quite expensive for one-off purchases though IIRC, and the whole blind subscription thing is a bit risky.

Fun fact i learned recently: there are people out there who are very hard up about the "original original" vs the "bootleg original". Only significant because look at those prices

I went back home and checked and thank golly i got the original original from my local hot topic at the time. Now i know there's at least 300 bucks in weed money on my record shelf for when the going gets extra rough

I know a few vinyl nerds / audiophiles who have broad and sincere tastes but unfortunately I see on instagram with the money to buy nice stereos and vinyl buy shit like this
