"Speeed describes the album as “conceiving an interior territory: an abstract space to process the oppression, confusion and insanity of the contemporary age; and to formulate an honest emotional and artistic response – a psychic jumping off point into an uncertain future.”

Lol. Some of these artists - seriously. So pretentious.

You made some tunes, dude. Nothing more.

yet more hoover-ish sounding rave nostalgia... the tune is nice, but the sounds are getting a bit tiring to me

Will hold out to hear a few more off the album.  p-mu on fire.

I got my copy a day early - thanks, Amazon.

This is a great album, much more accomplished than 'My Skeleton'. 'Fifth Fortress' isn't really representative of the album as a whole. There are many nods to Leyland Kirby and OPN on here.

I'm loving this. 'Dream Dream' is a fantastic, hypnagogic piece of rave nostalgia that has one of those samples you know but cannot remember the artist while 'Moonchord Magic' is a total homage to Boards Of Canada from the old tunes era.

I always wonder how much of that shit is the PR folks and labels. Outlets like Fader and TMT make it even worst (although I like the latter a lot - they are still independent minded and stubbornly anti-mainstream)

But yeah sometimes it's insufferable, even if the music is good. There's some stuff by Fatima Al Qadiri and Vatican Shadow that have had this gushing press releases and when I hear it I'm like "this is MIDI piano roll techno with 90s synth presets FFS"

I love 0PN but his music has often had this wealth of overwrought pretentious write-ups, reviews, and interviews.

That all said I like these guy a lot, seems like his earlier stuff flew under the radar.

I think there are a few tracks on it that you'd really like a lot. Maybe Spotify first.

Yeah I need to revisit My Skeleton, I really liked it. Claud Speeed is one of those artist I think has a vaporwave vibe even though he's not part of that scene or genre. Torn Hawk is the same way.

The closing suite of tracks that begins with 'Center Tech' is total vaporwave. I can imagine some of it perfectly soundtracking the next Memorex/Skinemax video.

Man this even better than I expected, by a lot. Think this is of my faves of the year. Actually gets better and better start to finish.

This sounds like what I hoped the Lorenzo Senni album would sound like after I read all of it's gushing reviews and descriptions. While I enjoyed the Senni album this is a lot more engaging, more dynamic, and less repetitive to me while being in a similar vein.

only 3 or so good tracks... rest blended together too much for me. Maybe I wasn't in the right mood. Will try again.
