AE 2016 Last Track

I hope it's ok to start a new thread for this (if not, let me know and I'll move it somewhere).

Partially out of boredom, and partially because I just really like the last track from the 2016 tour, I (primitively) used Audacity to clip and isolate the last segment, convert via Windows Media, and then post on youtube.

I used the audio from Berlin, Zagreb, Concorde, and Manchester (because those were the files already saved). The audio was not (intentionally) tampered with beyond that.

Another big "thank you" to the heroes who recorded the audio. (I left the youtube description blank in case anyone wants me to give credit for breaking the law lol)

Haven't heard this track since some of the first recordings of this tour came out, it's so fucking good. Only just listening to the Berlin version now, that recording sounds pretty damned good. Bass is a touch distorted but totally listenable. Maybe a whole album of shit like this next? Reminds me in ways of a lot of some of their best b-sides: Konlied MX, Syptixed, Medrey, ClnChr, and Gescom's Peel Xydub, which I just learned is called this, I've had an mp3 of it for 15 years that was just listed as Autechre - (hidden track). There's a lot of texture and space in those tracks, and a fair chunk of their older live sets follow that sort of texture/weird slow- & mid-tempo grooves/odd synth combinations formula.

Would love for them to more fully explore those styles (they've touched on it elsewhere, of course, but these tracks are all little weird bits of magic, much like this AE2016 last track.

sounds surprisingly straightforward compared to their other recent output. would be interested to hear more like this on a proper release!

I really like it, while not exactly the same, it almost reminds me of Drane2 from LP5, at least in the kind of emotion portrayed, though this song feels much more emotional to me. Thanks for sharing!
