New Porter Ricks album

Got it in nice 12" fetish object. It's more or less a flawless album I think.

Bought this on vinyl and while it is very well produced with some nice sound design I find it lacks some standout tracks. Feels like an album you put on in the background while doing something else. That's my first impression at least.

I dig that because it is definitely an album that you CAN put on in the background and is effective for that. But at the same time rewards deeper listening too, can work at both levels.

Is it to early to say that I might like this more than their original stuff!?
