I like it a lot. I used to miss the times where he made music like this in the 'let's always sample amen breaks and rave stabs and give the kids what they want'-era (MSCL, MLIAB, etc) but he's back at full swing since Fool The Detector and I just love it. This particular one is maybe a bit too quiet for me, but nevertheless it has a very strange and eerie mood to it.

I'm really into the atmosphere and moodiness of this track but I'm getting really sick of the metallic percussion that he's been abusing for the last few years.

Hmm, have i missed some stuff? He's not released much and it's been mostly acid ? This sounds like Cubist Reggae a bit. I'd like him to return to the dark oppressive jazz-ey sample manipulating sound of Meathole and Winter In the Belly Of A Snake. And enjoy making albums again, because i think his were really well sequenced as opposed to Aphex Twin's. You could tell he cared about the flow of an album and each wasn't just a track dump.

He's released more than the average producer in the passed years and it was all pretty 'metallic percussion'-y? Check out Traditional Synthesizer Music, Your Face, Fool The Detector, ... all somewhat drawing from the same sound.

 argh, not able to fast forward through vanity intro. oh the whole track is a vanity intro, worse the whole site is filled with songs that are vanity intros, it's like 90% of my soundcloud seems to be these days. Whatever happened to songs, 'oh that's trippy noises' is either from lack of understanding of the medium or degeneracy. gleh.
