Arturia Minimoog V Alternatives with Matrix

I'm using an old version so it's probably why i'm having issues but..

 

got a baseline running with an arp and using the matrix as follow

 

S&H 1 -> LFO FM

S&H 2 -> LFO AM

S&H 2 -> Cutoff

LFO -> Cutoff

 

Tweaking the parameters to get some fucked up wabbles and shit and sometimes it just stops working

 

anyone else using the matrix and had issues?

 

Is there a good alternative with matrix?
