Agreed! Bought this as one of my many BC purchases when they were donating their proceeds to Trans rights and loved it. Also bought that Edith Keeler album from the same label. Good shit.

I was head over heels a minute into the first track. For as dude-centric as IDM was in the 90s, the ladies are OWNING the oughts. Praise Be.

I'm not sure if it's a he or she. Brian mentioned to me that all he found when he looked it up was a Star Trek reference....

Anyway, new Milieu is his best since Milkwhite Plastic Galaxy Maker. Very chill vibes.

Ack, man... it's a great release but if it's another neckbeard using a female name for "aesthetic" that rubs me the wrong way, dang.

But yeah back to Milieu. Top form. Will probably end up on my end of year best-of list.

Hey, thanks guys! Just saw this thread now. Glad everyone's digging on RP9. It's definitely a lot like the older 2005-2007 Milieu records. 

Also, re: Edith Keeler - I don't think it bothers me that it *could* be a guy posing as a girl. Rather, once I found out what the name was a reference to, it just genuinely feels like someone who wishes to be anonymous to me. I thought it was quite creative! And yes, that record is a killer!

That's fair, not trying to be an ass since I didn't get the reference. Great LPs both, anyway. Excellent work!

Anyway yeah, if it is a guy posing as a girl, he's posing as a very dead girl. In the Star Trek episode in question, Edith gets hit by a car in the 1960s, and Kirk has to allow it to happen in order to not change the future. Depressing stuff!

Apparently it's been too long since I've watched TOS, this is a great stain on my Trekkie knowledge.

That episode is a very iconic one. Edith was played by Joan Collins.

My personal favorites are still The Menagerie and I, Mudd. Actually seeing Harry Mudd in Discovery is the thing I'm most excited to see. Played by Rainn Wilson, no less!

(I'm a pretty big Trekkie as well, perhaps obviously)

I've always been more of a DS9 guy, though that might just be because I watched it first. Menagerie is a classic, to be sure, also one of my favorites alongside Balance of Terror.
