This is not a good thread but now that it has been overshadowed by a typo of that magnitude it makes you wonder what the future holds after such a Freudian slip. "Butt fun". It took the OP almost 7 and a half hours to identify the error and then went in to make the edit, some might say that after so much time had passed it was too little too late.

Sorry folks, I hope you didn't think I was being to anal (pun intended) but I couldn't let that pass :)

plus, ima bit anxious for the next bunch of what i assume will be rdj's rephlex releases. plus some soundcloud tracks added here and there. it has been relatively silent for a couple of weeks, so i'm hoping for a big load of butt fun.

Yeah, Me too!  rRrrReeeEeppPPhHlllLLeeeExxxX!!! Wonder if there are even more Analord extra,s in addition to  the ones he shared a few years ago.

Really curious for uploads of unrealized RepHleX releases.

There could even well be some Soit-p.p stuff in there.

I'm just here for the pointless butt fun.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

I think some of the existing bonus tracks could have had better placement tbh. Stride Portugal and End E2 should swap their respective releases, and I don't think ANY of the Deejay Selek extras suit the original EP.

I guess if anyody knows where the tracks should go, it's him.

To my mind a lot of the albums sound like what they are, bits and pieces thrown together from all over the place, a lot of it compiled by friends and so on. I think a lot of the sense that it all somehow sits together comes from repeat listening - on first listen a lot of those records sounded very random to me. So I'm suprised at all of this talk of where things belong as I've never seen AFX as that kind of an artist. I loved the SC dump for being the opposite of that. No meaning or structure, no 'package', just a load of music to find your own way through and a few suggestiions from RDJ as to what might have gone where in an alternate universe. More of that please.

Nice post. I agree. I guess people are trying to put the tracks to albums by way of a timeline.

I feel totally opposite. IMO there's a special unique sound in each RDJ release. Like, even though ICBYD-RDJ LP-CTD were released within two years or so, they all have a different distinctive sound to each other. There are some similar elements between them but I still see them standing as their own thing. I know the tracks in the albums have been picked from a wide timeline (look at the ICBYD art, tracks are from 90-94) but still the way I hear them is more like a well thought out entity than merely "bits and pieces thrown together". Thinking out of the box here but how rad would it be if there was some Drukqs mixes on SAW II? Oh, wait...

But re: what valleyinaire said, I have some troubles with the new added pieces on the "classic albums". Could be because I'm so used to enjoy them the way they are and so my tiny mind has some difficulties at including the new pieces there. In instance, apart from Sekonda I wouldn't have thought that the rest of those added tracks from SC would actually be ICBYD tracks. Don't have any troubles with Rushup edge, Field Day or another newer stuff though. But that's just me. Like Ohm said, Rich knows the best so who am I to say anything.

Strange discussion. We know Richie puts tracks on different stacks. So it's def not thrown together from all over the place. Not sure where that comes from.

Imo, there's a lot of thinking into Syro or any other album. Which tracks. What order. Really not random at all. Might be different for each release. Some more than the other. But random bits thrown together? nahhhh
