A couple of spontaneous compositions.

Inspired after viewing the 2017 solar eclipse in southern Illinois here in the States, these tracks came to be almost overnight..

Let me know what you think of the EQ in particular, I feel that's where I need the most help.

Wow the production quality is incredible, sounds exactly like I'm sitting with my head next to an 808; wouldn't change anything, love the arrangement and extended chords, sounds are masterfully obfuscated for that now-you-hear-it-now-you-don't sensibility. Love the nice short length, leaves me wanting more!

Wicked, super tight sounding tracks. As an electro boy I really love the 808 patterns here <3

Can't fault "Totally Different", it's fantastic! If we're digging for EQ problems, then perhaps the high end pop of the kick drum is too prominent, and could be dialled back with less compression, or taking out some of the high end. But really, you're bang on with this, keep it up!

With "Gems", another great track but perhaps too similar to the first one... like that bass sound seems identical to the one in the previous track! It's cool to have a sound, but you can't be repeating the same tricks

Top notch productions though. This stuff reminds me of CiM a bit

Those keys are really lush and I love the super high pitched aliasing. Nice tight drum sequencing with enough variation to keep it interesting... it's really good

Thank you for your kind words.

EQ and mix wise they sound decent. all the sounds are super dry but it works quite nicely with the minimalism.

i'm not that into the repetitive note progression on Totality Different but the other synth parts are quite nice. i like the swelling synth towards the end.

So I've upgrade to Reason10 and along with it came a tremendous, orgasmic, granular synthesizer. Here is one of my first experiments. The original sample is a voicemail from my sweet Papa, demonstrating the fantastic capability of granular synthesis to turn even the most non-musical samples into pads of pure wonder.

hey gems is really great.

love your chords and mix of low and high frequencies.

you seem like you've got a touch with that and should explore this particular sound more.

thanks for sharing!
