Carbon Based Lifeforms - Derelicts

Nice enough track, doesn't add much to their catalogue already, hopefully the rest of the album will branch out more. Interloper was definitely a step on from the first two, adding in some fairly strong post-rock influences, so I'm hoping this will mostly continue along those lines.

It's pretty good, isn't it? Not much development in their sound - basically feels like a cross between their last three records - but on its own terms it's great, lots of gorgeous tracks in there.

They're two of the best at what they do, melodic ambient that develops over the course of the song, can't go wrong with that.

Haven't been into one of their albums so much since Hydroponic Garden. Defos picking up the vinyl for this one.
