Hey, I did some work on an old recording in order to finish the song up. It's quite long (24 min), not really very electronic music really, but maybe some of you will enjoy. It's a kind of rough mix at the moment, not properly mastered but I kind of feel I want to give this one a more professional treatment. So if you have any advice, I'd be really grateful.

The one on clyp is 128 kbps, feel free to download from dropbox to get the 320kbps version.

skimming through for the moment, it sounds great, just posting in here so I can remember to grab the 320kbps version later

I used to play in a post-rock band that had a similar jammy aesthetic, nice stuff

I'm glad you liked it! By the way, I also wanted to ask if this kind of music reminds you of some band or song? I think there's basically 2-3 main influences going on here: Miles Davis' Recollections, Causa Sui's Visions Of Summer and Quiet Village's remix of Dj Kaos' Kosmischer Ruckewind. Oh and probably also Dragontears' Doors Of Perception. Recently I've been feeling that this kind of long and slowly evolving stuff is something I really like, and I'd be glad for any similar stuff if you can recommend any. Songs like this always seem to be exceptions in bands' material so it's not really obvious to find easily.

When I think of long and repetitive I think of Tangerine Dream:

Which that DJ Kaos track slightly reminded me of.

Your track, parts of it reminded me of Magma, and some other misc jazz fusion stuff, but with a focus on soft/pad approaches...

Thanks. I've heard of these bands and I am kind of into fusion and jazz rock and krautrock as well. Will definitely listen and check them out. :)

maaan, check out Eskaton as well if you haven't already. Similar concepts and style to Magma; a bit more mental than your track but definitely in the same category.
