considering some of the amounts of money people are apparently spending to get there, it's going to piss a lot of people off if there's nothing doing.

I share Archrival's enthusiam on this one, I have faith BoC will deliver in one form or another. I've enjoyed the whole process and refuse to see it as just a marketing ploy (so far, that could change, I guess, depending on the outcome).

Really, if you're a band like Boards that creates a very intimate and private-seeming bond with your listeners, and you have the oft-repeated "pastoral" vibe as BoC do, how else are you to go about having a live performance that maintains that intimate and pastoral feel? I think they've come up with the only way to even have a chance of keeping things intimate and - yes - mystical, of combating the modern trend of commercialzing and commodifying and over-legalizing everything.

Enthusiasm has no defense against grumpy curmugeons like Kaen. But I have a feeling he's excited too, otherwise why is he here?

Edit: Also, I feel certain some other hint or clue will drop on the BoC website, or this forum or a related forum, prior to this evening. Especially if the Twoismers interpreted the code wrongly.

kinda what i've been thinking... i've been to the locale, and there's very little that looks suitable for a gig.

a couple of my contacts in glasgow say boc have been sourcing pa kit and projection equipment, but i doubt they'll have 'the full live band', as mike stated he would only play with in a recent interview, so i guess even if something does go ahead, it'll be a play of the cd and some projections, a la the listening parties.

so i'm going to stay in and watch the football instead.
