This is a new discovery for me. I only really started following the label after I heard Media Fired's 'The Pathway Through Whatever' about two years ago.

^ Yeah Beer On The Rug essentially fostered vaporwave before it had a name or a scene. Lot of classics released in hindsight. It's funny a lot of artists on that label and it's peers were doing a lot of weird underground synth, lo-fi, tape recorded drone and ambient, and retro minded stuff 5 or so years ago, stuff in seemingly in vogue now but pretty niche back then. Culture Dealer and Ekhein are other influential ones that essentially went on hiatus - lot of those artists went on to release on Orange Milk, Leaving Records, etc. which are still going strong. I came across this "tape scene" years ago by chance via Ctatsu and SicSic.
