William Ryan Fritch - Behind The Pale

His album Ill Tides was one of my favs from last year and this is easily among my top albums for 2017. Nice intro to his music, kind of straddles the line between his instrumental albums and his vocal-heavy ones. Overall I'd say his stuff sounds like an ambient / drone take on American Western music. He does all of the instrumentation with a multi-track setup - sounds like a full orchestral ensemble.

I'll have to check. He is quite prolific, put out some full length soundtracks earlier this year too.
