Fan made aphex covers?

It would be fun to hear what some covers of AFX have been done by some of the internet people........... got any to share? Some of them would be fun(ny) to listen to.

i did a cover of windowlicker for p168 part 3 but didn't finish it

not a cover, but i did a bucephelaus bouncing ball remix a bunch of years ago.

i covered on once

it was done entirely on a casiotone and 4 track

and it was very crap

curious, what's the difference between a cover and remix when it comes to electronic music w/ no vocals.

did he send you the original tracks for mixing?

if so how'd you sort that out mate??

Well I would say a cover means you listen to a song, and without samples, try to recreate it with own instruments/samples in your own way. I guess an EDIT would be what he means by a remix, his own song, but only using the whole track as a sample source.

i reckon if someone asked you to do a remix for a remix EP, and you just played a piano ditty, and called it xxx(piano mix), and it showed up on the remix ep, it'd probably still be called a remix instead of a cover. but if you put that same track on your own album, it'd be called a cover.

so i think it depends on where the track shows up sometimes, and whether or not if the artist has sanctioned it.

When I read this topic, I thought you meant album covers - we had a contest way back on joyrex.com - I still have them.
