Meam ‎– The L

Been a decade (or more!) since I picked up this DVD from skamshop on a complete whim and I don't think I'm any nearer to the mystery of the release since then

Looking at discogs it seems to attribute visuals to Michael England (of the Bola cover art fame) & Mark Atherley and the music by Andy Jackson. Though to add to the confusion the 'members' of Meam are listed as Andy Maddocks (credited as writing and arrangement for Gescom - C&D) & Michael England. So visually Michael England seems a definite part of the group, but musically I'm not sure which Andy it is !

It seems like an incredibly detailed and cohesive piece that it seems weird they started and ended with just this one project. What became of Meam, who exactly was Meam, is it just the initials of the authors? (Michael England. Andy Maddocks.) and if so what part does Andy Jackson have to play in the release, just a dicog error ? Are there other Meam projects that have completely slipped under the disocs rader ?

Even if no mysteries can be solved, hopefully this topic introduces this 20min masterpiece to those that have never heard or seen it !

Great album, had the artwork on my wall for years, one of Micheal England’s finest.

As for the music, I always assumed it was Andy Maddocks, with Micheal England doing the artwork and DVD visuals. And the name thing fits with it just being those two.

Guess it’s just another Skam mystery

Just went into the edit page of the Meam artist listing on Discogs, and a user called Madx (Maddocks?) commented 5 years ago...
