FL Studio Performance Mode Question

In Performance Mode, FL Studio seems to only allow you to use a 1 pattern at a time in each horizontal row (or "track.") Is there any way to bypass (control) this?

If it's the same thing as in Live (i.e. maximum one "clip" can play per track), then a workaround could be to create a couple of pattern tracks and set the output to the one track that already has an instrument playing the pattern. In Live that's possible and it just merges the resulting MIDI. Hopefully you can do something similar with FL.
